GH House
Bandung, Indonesia
Architecture | Built | 85 m2
This renovation project aims to add one storey to the existing house with additional rooms including three additional bedrooms, a storage and laundry room.
The challenges presented by the existing structure on-site requires careful layout and infrastructure planning.
Asymetrical facade and roofline were proposed to create a more dynamic look of the house compare to the surrounding units. The design is making sure this elongated house still get enough natural light and good air circulation. This is achieved by providing two transparent roof above the dining room and the stair area as well as cross ventilation throughout the house.
The interior uses gradient tone of white, gray and black to achieve a simplistic industrial theme. Coupled with timber accent for the stair, flooring as well as cabinets offering warm vibe of a home.
